Time : 9:21:00 pm Title : On a last note, I will be away from 1-9 December, having winter vacation in Vietnam with my crappy, fun & wonderful Vietnam teammates. My flight to Hanoi is scheduled tomorrow at 10 AM, T2 R8 is the assembly row if you really miss me very much and want to see me & hug me for the last time before I'm gone for more than a week. I'M REALLY EXCITED TO FLY AWAY ON WINGS! :D I would miss ELEPHANT. I've gotta leave that poor thing behind AGAIN and AGAIN. I won't sleep well without it. Insomia days are here again. :'( I will miss JoJo too! (Not Joelle or Jovien =P) Hopefully, my brother bothers to take care of her. :x Homesick period is here again. I will definitely miss home and the comfy environment in Singapore because I'd be suffering over there (thats the main niche of GCE trips -.o). Thankfully, I have peers to help me tide over. Lastly, I love precious, dearest & wawa, not forgetting family! You people will always be on my mind. I will be back to The Little Red Dot in the evening. Lots of misses and wishes. :( Love, Jess. :) PS: Come figure out my flight number & fetch me on the 9th if you can. HAHA. just kidding. Labels: my last post for november 2008

Time : 11:54:00 pm Title : Pre-Departure. I'm almost done with packing. My check-in luggage doesn't look so bare like before. I guarantee our bagpacks will look like we're going on The Amazing Race, because MOST of our stuff is in the bagpack that we'd bring up the plane so yeah. If not for the winter clothes, our load will be much lesser than ever.
I'm planning to dispose many items along the way so hopefully my load will be lessen. Teammates, do rmbr ur very essentials like thick winter jacket, long johns, socks (you don't wanna get foot rot, do you?), passport, SRGCE Handbook and anything that can light up in the dark. Rmb that your luggage may look empty now but when you pack your winter clothes inside, the space would be taken up fully. I know everyone is stressed with the last minute packing and ranting 'zup doi!', but drink up and rest well to be fully charged for the trip. :D Miss my friends. We're all going different GCE destinations, but we can always share our journey back here! Take care of each other & don't tamper with the insurance, we want no casualties in anything! :) Somehow, the thought of those days in Vietnam makes me wanna cry sometimes, no comfort in material sense and serious deprivation of proper conditions and hygiene & no hotels to stay in. Oh Well. Let this trip be a chance to challenge ourselves and increase our AQ. Actually, the trip is supposed to be 8 days, but because SQ cancelled the operation of the scheduled flight between Sg and Hanoi, our flight got rescheduled to another later flight, hence, the hotel stay and that extra one day. :) Tab biet!

Time : 8:48:00 pm Title : I can't wait! Jessica the Santa Claus lugged barangs of kids clothing to school tmr for charity's sake in Vietnam. Almost wanted to peng from the load. most of us helped in packing stuffs to be bought along after which we will distribute the weight evenly among the 4 groups. We got our SRJC team jackets too. Today's the last ever vmeeting in Singapore, & we farewell to our vietnamese peers, only Dave was around. These two guys must really be appreciated for they have to come down to school countless times and even have to stay back till quite late on a few occassions just to teach us viet ang. Dave also helped us with the skit performances especially when it comes to limitations such as language barriers. :) They can choose not to do this yo. We thanked them a lot thru handwritten cards. They're pretty good teachers, my viet lang ain't that bad for beginners. :P
I can foresee that our CIP and campfire is gonna be a fun-filled time of joy and friendship bonding. I didn't sleep the whole of last night, or rather, I couldn't drift off to dreamland & I cant figure out my mind. My middle finger hurts a lot now from being f-ing poked somewhr! Rawrhhh, I really can't wait for Vietnam. Mum's giving me a hard time & i'd been quarreling with her. Thank goodness I'd be away for 9 days, just let this trip make her miss me more! :X I'd be departing in 3 days time & would be a millionare for the first time. I'm carrying money worth millions in............... Vietnam Dong. Ha ha. My wishlist for the trip: 1. Every single one of us conquer Fansipan with no bones or anything broken. 2. Develop team bonding, friendships and life skills. 3. Leave our comfort zone and experience Viet together. :D 4. Do meaningful charity there. 5. Be more appreciative than before. 6. Eat till I drop. LOL. just kidding abt this. 7. Take meaningful photos of places & teammates. 8. Since I can't really get to be with the ones I know, I should try to know the ones I'm with. right? 9. Discover myself. :D 10. The wishlist goes on lah. Now I know what the participants in The Amazing Race go thru. My bagpack is filled to the seams and looks like its gonna explode like that. I'm going on The Amazing Race with my bagpack, dude! Hahahahahaha. Hence now, my check-in luggage is a bit... empty I guess. I don't know.

Time : 9:45:00 pm Title : Hi! Dude, the previous post took me 2 hours to compose and publish!
Once, I took hours and hours of my weekday night to write a letter to a friend. I relish these sort of things. A note to another of my dearest: Hi Wawa, remember to always cheer up too. On your 18th Birthday, I will also make a Mega-post for you too! More mega than ever. The ultimate mega. I will write beyond a essay about you. Not the boring essays that we write in JC until our fingers burn and flesh hurts and brain power exhausted. My dedicated post will be of University standard, okay! JC is way too... stress for us, right? Remember me always, Hua hua. PS: You can mark me down for this note. Hehe.

Time : 7:59:00 pm Title : For one bestie. Someone's birthday falls on today, time for me to do a mega post.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I still remember the gossip sessions and chats & rmbr most of your private stuffs okay. Yes babeh, family life isn't that great at times. Jialat, I realised we didn't really take much photos. :( The two secondary school photos in this post appears rare. The newer photos are in my laptop. Anyway, we can't change things, but we can choose our reaction towards them. Try to make the most out of your life in Poly and do something meaningful okay. Rain or shine, I'm always here for you & with you too, like what you said. ^^ How long can our friendship remain this way, we can't tell. But we better cherish the time now because who knows what will happen down the road. There's no backing out for you now, I'm stuck with you! :P With people like you, there's hope for Sistership in this world. Yay. Say Happy Birthday to your twin on my behalf also. I've wished both of you in the graveyard hours. Eh I realised that the word Bestie isn't really appropriate for use sometimes, sometimes its biased, sometimes its opiniated. One can have quite a few 'best' friends. Sometimes, I wonder if I should ever believe in the word 'best friends'. Theres such a word but perhaps no much meaning in it. Oh well. Bestie!

Time : 7:00:00 pm Title : Blog Game. I woke up at 12 PM today. Great record.
Rules and Regulations: - Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habit/little known facts about yourself. - People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird things/habits/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. - At the end, you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names - No tag back 1. From my sleep patterns I've observed, 10 hours of sleep is the optimal amount I need to function at peak. If I sleep at 12 am, I would wake up exactly 10 hours later. I woke up at 12 pm this morning because I slept at 2 am last night. 2. Don't know why, but I just can't seem to be able to eat seafood. I can't enjoy good expensive food. 3. Raw food especially the mentioning of Sushi freaks me out. I'm 'allergic' to sushi. 4. My Dad didn't give me his surname in english, only the surname in chinese hanyu pinyin. Almost wanted to do a deed poll when I made my NRIC. >.< 5. I love elephants since young cos I carry a stuffed elephant ever since 1 year old till now. 6. I'm an ultimate super bigfoot. How to buy shoes? 7. Sometimes, I'm too tired to remove my contacts when I get home, so I'd just bathe & settle down before really switching back to spects. 8. People who slept with me before say I kick around when I sleep...and kick them! 9. I like to look & study at maps as well as transport guides. :x 10. I don't really like slippers.

Time : 10:04:00 pm Title : Double moments. First thing in the morning, I waited very long for my bus (es) as usual to do the CIP matters for the trip. (SCHOOL AGAIN? :D) The whole V team had the whole of SAC for themselves. We did whatever we needed to do within our grps and Mr J. Lo returned at 9.15 AM and we did run-through for the performances as a whole team. We planned for Finale as a whole team and they're gna figure out Macarena moves.
Some in my group seems obsessed over Twinkle-la Twinkle-la Little-la Starrrr. :/ every single one of us stood in a circle were dancing and jumping and moving in the SAC then the volleyballers showed up outside the SAC which made us feel like they are audiences with eyes on us. Broke free from the clutches of school at 10plus and off to the mall to meet wawa. I ate my favourite donuts while wawa updates me about her current affairs. We proceeded on to Dhoby Ghaut to P. Sing and then to City Hall to our typical haunts. Sadly, she could not find her - despite making many rounds! gahh. LJS for late brunch (more like proper lunch) and the Esplanade has became our official cam-session place. We dropped plans to go to other places like Bugis cos of the scorching heat and the tiredness. Decided to go home early at 4 PM. Apparently, I seem like a zombie to her so we decided to call it a day. I bought my lip moisturiser. Silkygirl's Silky Lips product line. Sheer lipclour. This product looks girly and sweet with the hearts around. :) I had been using the same lip balm since I was about 9 years old? Goodness. Its time for change so ta-da!

Time : 11:55:00 pm Title : Always look on the bright side of life. Whooo.. ![]() I could be in CG 092S24. I'm supposed to be in 2S24. S24, such a nice CG title. (what an upgrade, CG nos jump by 7!) If I was in there, there would be 21 people in the CG. ODD number. So, that's so extra right? I know I always am. But well, its great that I'm not in that CG next year. GO figure out the meaning in the great word yourself, if you're so great. That's one bright way of looking and reacting at unfortunate circumstances. Fine, I'm fine with anything! On to another subject. Well, I passed the vietnamese test today. Only 3 didn't make it. +ve. (: BloodySunday has been hesitating on me. Really hesitating and playing hard to get. What the - ? I have to go down to school tmr morning. Great Double blessing. My relationship with Mum is gonna goners. Deterioting. Things hadn't been going so well. Can't she talk properly in a better way and a more appropriate tone? My reaction slow also get shouted at. Seems like every idea/suggestion we give also get shoot down. Talking about my aspirations & preferences for tertiary courses, she will deem careers like __ and bla bla bla useless. Seems like her children must follow her footsteps only. Mental. :/ Sleep, sleep.... beauty dreams. (: Labels: Cramps

Time : 8:18:00 pm Title : the dynamics in JC ![]() The status of students taking re-examinations are out, they're contacted by phone. So far, I only heard of people making it. Congrats to them. I guess that SHOULD have called all the students by now, damnned sch. Haha. I walked around the college & saw my JC2 peers just released from their lessons. People seem so lonely, now that classes got splited apart, relationships seem to diverge further till a rift can be seen. Friends move on & go their own way. New friends are founded. How long will hearts last? Some appear to be indulged in escapism from college, though they may not make it in JC education. I don't know, but things are so different from now. I don't know how much do I really know my friends in college and whether they are what I perceive of them or not. Do I really know my friends and their personality? Some people are just so sarcastic when it comes to status and circumstances. The way they talk to you about it and shoot you with those harsh questions like 'you never study right, if got study why still like that', 'that subject so easy you still can't pass' when you tell them you're a repeat student. When it comes to gatherings, they talk like SNEERING at the pathetic state you're in. They may be concerned, but the way they put it just sounds like some interrogation session. You know the Q&A sessions you see on TV when it comes to social gatherings? Q&A about results and jobs and relationships for the older youths. Those snoobish people who appear to approach you in a 'suan' way are of course not youths like people of my age. Its those people of the older generation, whose 'youth years' were decades ago. Different generation uh. Its damnnn demoralising and somehow more annoying than those ex-schoolmates. Often, the form of snobbery reflects the socio-economic background of a person. Some University Graduates with high social status seriously seem to look down on you. Oh I can opt the 'easy way out' and opt for Poly ed. At least it sounds better when you tell people about it, having to save the word 'retain' or 'repeat' in ur dictionary. Furthermore, poly seems a better route for me due to my subject combi and my Arts/Science? status. I asked Dad: What if I go Poly? He said, 'go lor'. Wow. Haha. But oh well. I don't have to live up to other people's expectations & be on the 'normal route', as whatever society perceives it to be. I live for myself and not for others & I'M CONTENTED WITH WHO I AM. so much for ranting. Much love.

Time : 11:19:00 am Title : Long breaks in-between.. My college hours!
Trip meeting falls at 7 AM and attendance and punctuality was much much better. We checked our particulars for the tour list. We then got into our groups to plan the performance thing and had dry runs for each group. I hung out with the malays for breakfast & they're really a cute & funny bunch. Bonding. :D After that, they went off for morning classes (the school reallly knows how to plan things even for people who are uncertain of promotion) while me, school-less (theoretically) and having to waste my youth away. This feel shitty at times. Why do I always have to fall ill at holidays.. How man! I sure fall sick in Vietnam like how I collapse in India due to high altitude and climatic change. : O I have lots to share with bestie now that i'm flying off soon. (: Okayy, gotta buy my sport shoes again! The current ones are ripping off as if it's their own business.

Night fell and we had not started the fire on the BBQ pit. he jumps, eat snails and move about everywhere. reached home at about 1 AM. :X I had flu a few hours before the BBQ thanks to the amount of DUST at home. Fell sick and kept sneezing for a few hours. Had diarrhoea hangovers till now. :( I haven't really gotten physically FIT yet. ouch, how? RUNNING & CLIMBING! :(

Time : 8:27:00 pm Title : Just like another typical Saturday.. ![]() Planned to finish reading my subscribed magazines and clear up junk. Outcome: I managed to clear some mags... and spent my time sleeping and eating (my forte Haha) and on the comp playing games. Home-cooked spaghetti and having elephant makes my day. Well at least I did some work. My laziness of completing scheduled tasks (be it self-scheduled or not) all boils down to discipline. Self-discipline. I think I'm not fitted for poly ed for I tend to diverge away from my work by being distracted and procrastinating. eww. JC ed forces me to be more motivated, discplined and on task. (Well, forced to) Either I sink or swim admist all the problems I have to cope with. Perhaps JC is really more of a shortcut & direct route for me. From there, I have much much more paths to venture down into when I turn older. Self-reflect on the paths you choose and what you're on! (:

Time : 12:49:00 pm Title : On Character Building The importance of punctuality
How long have you ever waited for a person before that person turns up? Or have you ever made someone wait for you for a long period of time? Most of the time, I'm the one waiting for people and sometimes its just... irritating. Some people just lack the urgency. 5 minutes is okay supposingly, nothing beyond that, that's one golden rule that they state. This morning at 7 am we are supposed to have dry run for CIP but then 40 mins ltr, less than half the team was there & the teachers started bla bla bla bla. All our groupmates are very good at giving excuses. Yah, they let us down, especially those without supplementary classes who come to school early early morning just for the sake of this meeting like me, huimin, khai.. The end result? Nothing done and some had lessons at 8 AM so we were dismissed quite soon enough. During holiday vacations overseas, especially when we go on tour groups, some families are also not that punctual, making the whole tour wait for them and delaying our set off time and sometimes hindering our destination as we may not have enough time to go to our supposed destination and may have to 'shortchange' the itinenary at bit. Don't they feel bad? Also, I've seen many cases in school where people are just always late late late. Irk! Punctuality is a habit that people should cultivate. Being on time is not just a habit, but an essential courtesy in any field in life. Like in the field of business, salesman should have punctuality. In sales, punctuality can make a significant difference. Punctuality increases efficiency, productivity and morale. Being on time is also a useful way of demonstrating personal integrity and upkeep and a judgement of your attitude and charcter. (: Speaking of punctuality, I wonder am I too much of a punctuality freak, too good for my own good or just a good kid who abide by the rules without any abnormalities about that. :/ I don't know but seeing many cases of impunctuality, it just irks me off so I blogged it out. (: PS: I'm not at home, neither I am in school nor the library. Tsk tsk. Guess where I am!

Time : 11:01:00 pm Title : School occupies my time or rather, kill it. PT today was quite fun & we had a mini competition of the battle of the sexes. Complete 6 stations twice and the first team to pass Mr Teng the baton will be the fitter team. 9 boys VS 16 girls... the results went to show that the boys are not so fit... but fitter by a little bit only! Ha Ha. We had vietnamese lang with our dear JC1 vietnamese students & then at night we proceeded on to LT1 for the GCE vietnam trip briefing session & parents were encouraged to come... quite a number of our family members came.
Refreshments for dinner, so hungry and not such a filling meal. :X Q&A session where parents could ask questions for all they want till they're contented. the meeting ended at 8+PM, we were cornered by the all 4 walls of the college compounds which was quite dark and gloomy. I had Miso and sausages for supper at home! (: My regular bus I took was drove by the same driver again... the one who always the concession cards of kids who are not in uniform randomly and she doesnt check children who are in school uniforms. quite scary to have the same driver always asking to check your student pass all these years uh. When I wear school uniform she just looks at my uniform! :X haha. I realised I have quite a truckload of work to do. goodbye, my lovely blog.

Time : 11:38:00 pm Title : My train of thoughts.... has diverged to bad stuffs.
I don't feel belonged. I needed someone badly. I felt so inappropriate. Inferiority envelops me. Self-created nightmares appear. People just don't see the full picture. Behind a person's achievements, takes a long period of hardwork and suffering. What makes a person today has a long background story behind that person today. It took me some time to finally realise who I am and where I stand. I've learnt and to live to see the truth. Life may not be a bed of roses, but even if it is at times, I should watch out for the thorns, for I don't know what injuries will come finding me. Its time to get back to learning Vietnamese. :)

Time : 11:02:00 pm Title : A day out with my fam. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() V meeting has been cancelled today as some of the teammates are scheduled for flu & typhoid jabs at the hospital. My legs are exhausted from walking too much at town. Dad bought all of us to Shaw for lunch. We went many parts of Suntec and afterwhich we went to Somerset for some shopping and lastly, AMK Hub. Reached home at 8 PM. The trip was kinda worth for I bought 2 winter beanies & a pair of shades- Some sort of pre-trip retail therapy. Haha. I am freaking out over the luggage now -.- NOW, I have 3 choices in the route of education. #1, stay where I am. #2, transfer to another college. #3, go pursue a diploma in Poly. But if I were to pick #2, I might as well stick with #1! Option #3 is tempting & actually I have many have options in #3, it just all depends on whether I want to pick them. BUT I keep thinking about the flip sides of #3. #3 ain't that bad, but I should stick to where & what I am now, shouldn't I? Keep talking about maintaining status quo. I wonder, I wonder, I wonder... I know something has changed.
