Title : Embrace singlehood ♥

Singlehood is great. Singlehood allows you much more free time to hang out with your pals. You can shop, eat, have innocent fun and club aimlessly. What a good bonding experience. :D I can club w/o having an other half to fret over me or not allowing me to club. I seen my attached friends who get restrained by their other halfs, cannot do this and that, poor things (hehehehe). Being unattached, we can meet more friends and socialise freely. Want to flirt, also can.. haha. I can imagine life with your other half, your partner would be one of your top priorities then. That equates to a spending lots of time with him/her...& maybe money.

I can say singlehood is better, perhaps because I haven't met the correct person who can make me change the above statement.

I wonder will I still be single 2 years later? :P

Title : Merry Christmas

Christmassy! I still love the traditional red & green christmas theme.

Really this Christmas is not the same (it never really was) but still the mood and atmosphere will always be there. Friends always play a huge part in boosting your festive mood, hehe. I can't believe another year is coming to a close. Time seem to travel at a fast speed. My school holiday is 3/4 over. The new year will start a new chapter of our lives. Here's another upcoming bumpy year. The current year didn't start on a smooth note either, happenings were all over the place. Second half of the year came new issues. Nevertheless I still believe each year always brings new joy and discoveries. Suddenly I have this burning desire for 31/12/2009 to arrive and never come to an end. If only year 2009 can pause, how great would that be?

Thanks for the christmas wishes, presents, invitations, celebrations and happiness. They meant a lot and will always do.

I met someonesss this year who I know I will never forget in years to come.

My band commitments ended 2 days ago and I'm already missing them. Its a short journey but seems long. My Band Festival and Concert was awesome. JC & Poly Band Festival this year was held in collabaration with Nadarzyn Band from Poland. They're great, everything there is great. Made friends with Singapore kids and Polish. The Singapore kids are the band members from other Colleges and Polys. The 5 day programme was tiring but worth it.. the first 4 days we had the festival at NIE where we practised.. The Polish people came in on Day 3! They were splitted among the 3 bands at the Festival.

The Polish had a shorter schedule compared to us and we didnt really get to interact with them compared to the Singapore bandmates...... but still we had ample time with them. :D The concert day, my band was the first band. I watched the Concert Live from the highest view of the Circle seats after the interval..watched Honour band and the Poland band.. I love the performance by the latter. Awesome and fantastic.. and great view from the circle seats!

Friends can be really fun at times when they are by your side! The Temporary Liberation is ending soon. Thinking about it makes my me saddened and my heart ache.

I think I'm on a small movie spree now. I'm more of a good girl now because I can't remember when was the last time I bought clothes.... Did bought things but not clothes. :D muahahahaha... I may not have paid for them but my heart aches $.$ Oh movies! So many good movies to watch this festive period.. Watched Avatar (digital) yesterday and Christmas Carol (digital) today.. Avatar has special effects, sigh didn't watch the 3D version. But still, nice graphics. Hehe. I love Christmas Carol! Ok, its kind of late to watch it now but luckily I managed to catch the show before it stops showing in cinema before X'mas. There were disturbing scenes here and there with scary sound effects but the show is so funny hahaahahahahahaha! I'm so amused. Mr Scrooge is so cute with his crazy bonker antics hehehehe!! Joy to the world, the Lord is come! I wish I could watch the 3D versions of the movies.... it will be so visually real and I so want to reach out for the snow and Christmas tree.

Been an awesome week with X'mas dinner coming up:D

I feel like striving for sales on 26 Dec but I can only do it with my eyes. Needa save up.

At times I really think technology gadgets have turned us into poorer and poorer communicators. We don't see each other face to face when we communicate across a screen. Words across a screen may be blunt and short, sometimes composed without care at all. When visual contact is missing, we depend on words and tone if on the phone, or worse still just words if on the screen. Researh shows that more than 70% of person-to-person communication takes place through non-verbal means. With words alone we are doomed to be communicating only 30% of what we intend to communicate.

That's why I don't like Instant Messaging or Text Messaging at times. I want to hear AND see the other party's expression, emotions and tone! I like to be able to talk to the other person and have personal touch. I feel like getting rid of communication gadgets sometimes and just see the other person right in front of my face. :D

My very bruised toenail.

No, I didn't get into an accident or lead poisoning. This started about 3 weeks ago when I wore pencil heels. I realised the toe is still painful so I removed my nail polish and this is the toenail colour I saw. :/

I read up about fashion that is bad for health.

e.g pointed shoes, slips-on without lace or straps, high heels > 1.5 inch can result in clawed toes, hammered toes, ingrown, painful, thickened toenails, bunions, corns, fallen arches, callouses..
Its so scary what fashionable yet improper, ill-fitting shoes can do to you. x_X

No choice, I want to be taller. :P

Title : Purple Line Journey

Today was my virgin time going to City Square Mall, the first eco mall in Singapore. Its similar to our heartland malls and neighbourhood hubs. Good time to catch up, I would say. Theres an incident I'm not happy with and I want to rant here (rahh, I need facial soon)! There was this cleaner at the entrance of the mall whom P and I were unhappy with. It rained today on our way to the mall and we had to cross the road and walk a bit when we came out of Farrer Park Station in order to get to the mall. When we entered the mall with our drenched umbrellas this (female) cleaner standing at the entrance was fiercely shouting 'Hello, Hello, Hello!!' (as if she want to pick a fight). She didn't seem to be calling P and me. However I turned back once more and realised she was calling us. She was signalling to us that there are plastic bags at the entrance to contain our wet umbrellas and wanted us to take it. Yeowsiu (good gracious), she really has no ettiquette and sound so uncivilised. She sounded as if its an serious offence not to take the plastic bags to put our wet umbrellas. Its not what she said, but the way she said it. In other words, her approach. When we went outside the entrance to take the long slender plastic bags P was like (losing patience) 'Can't we just put it in our bag'. Haha here comes her fuming state.

As we went past the entrance and past the lady cleaner, she stared at us until her eyes could pop out anytime (Go watch the HK movie 'My Left Eye Sees Ghost' and you'll get the picture HAHA!). She also had that lousy temper/tone when the other visitors failed to take the plastic bags and let their wet umbrellas drip in the mall. Not only my friend was pissed with her attitude problem-ish tone, so was I. Can't she say it nicely with grace politely? Do you need to fucking shout as if we owe you an astronomical sum of money/we stepped on your tail? Oh yea I forgot that the fact we let our wet umbrellas drip inside the mall means that we stepped on your tail because you would then have to spend time mopping up the floor, so that disturbs you. Oooh, we are sorry for that but you should be more sorry for talking to visitors in such a manner. (Insert your own dialect). P was fuming mad for quite some time that all she wanted is to find some Customer Service Counter/Platform to lodge a complaint against that cleaner. Haha, classic case of people belonging to same community unhappy with one another! :D

We couldn't find any customer service area so I suggested she write in/email them/lodge the complaint through any internet means she can find. P told me she went to the mall's website but it was down or something, maybe because its a new mall and some things may not have been fully ready to be utilised. I hope customer service and the website is ready. P was cursing at the cleaner and ranting nonstop like an grudgy old lady. :P

(right now) haha you know what! The website is working and theres a link to provide feedback! Shall tell P later! In the meantime, this post is can voice our anger and unhappiness.

Btw I was at the new mall's NTUC Fairprice Supermarket, we walked past this old granny who was wheeling a baby in a pram and bringing a toddler along. I was walking right at the front and I saw how cute the toddler was and so I kind of waved to the toddler. The granny then talk to her grandchild and I heard her referring me as 'Aunty', instead of 'Jiejie'. Possibility number one is theres something wrong with her eyesight, 2) being she can't tell the differencee between a young lady and a matured women 3) I dressed up so maybe I look older than my age (but even if Im 20+, I'm still young what..zzz) 4) I NEED FACIAL!

:D shouldn't get angry so much.... if not wrinkles will appear and 'railway lines' will pop up. I need to maintain my good facial complexion. I should learn how to simmer and be peaceful! *weeee* I have wonderful skin condition and I'm so not going to let some losers/grudgy people change that. Hee.

Christmas shopping feels so fun. *Love* But I hate to spend money. :P
