Title : Epitome of fear

A friend once said,

Disappointment is something most of us are afraid of. Perhaps this could be something in our way preventing us from progressing. We often fear that our efforts would have been for nothing if we fail. But, how do we know we’ll fail? We can’t predict the future now can we? I guess if we lack the confidence then yeah we’re bound to fail. But then again with those “horror stories” going around it is inevitable to fear the worst. All I can say is that we should not be afraid to fail but kick failure’s ass.

Once again this ain’t complete.

ooOoooOooooOoo.... I see.

Again, why do we have that fear of something even though we have done that fearful thing before? Why is that fear such an powerful feeling?

This weekend is a very busy and tiring weekend. Thanks friendsxz. :D Will update about that soon. Happy Halloween! Goodbye you spooks.

Title : Judgement Day; Release of Promotional Results

Nothing great about the grades, but didn't barely scrape through either. After 2 years, I made it. Yea, I went up. Yay.

But, 2 more tough sems ahead! Life is gng to be much more harder in Year 2010. One more year....

oh wells. build your foundation during this long break. Go huahua!

One sad part is, not everyone can be promoted together. Not even your closest friends. This is JC and I've came to accept the social pain about parting, splitting and drifting. Why must young adulthood be like that? So many transitions and phases to go through.

Why can't we be promoted together? I was looking forward to that day...

I'm looking forward to Nov/Dec 2010. :)

It always seems that planning social outings or activities within a circle of friends is always irksome, troublesome and a chore to do. We can't possibly accomodate to everyone's preferences.

Think about this question: You have many comfortable friends within your own circle. What if you want to ask that group of your circle of friends out to a outing or a party that you are planning to have, but your friends don't see eye-to-eye with one another and that may arise in conflicts, unhappiness or resentment among your friends. What will you do? ONE. Segregate your friends into groups so that you can go out with different groups over different days? TWO. Leave out those friends that you think may cause problems?

What a fix you will be in then. Boo.

Too large a group may also breed contempt.

I raised this question to Bestie also.

PS: This portion of the post is not targetted towards any cliques or groups or people. This is General! :)

Towards the end of the year, theres always a lot of upcoming birthdays. Thinking about it makes me feel eager to soak in the birthday mood with friends. Seems like there are a lot of birthdays in the month of Oct and Nov. hehe.

I saw photos of _'s life in Polytechnic on Facebook/Flickr/Multiply/Friendster/Blogger/Livejournal/Wordpress/Myspace (delete where you think its applicable). Her social circle distriution and pattern still seems the same as she was last year. I wonder how is it really like. Maybe photos, like relationships and status, are just a very surface appearance. I don't see what is going on in reality. Hopefully, she's happy and feeling better than the past.

Despite trying not to drift into a deep-state of holiday mode, I'm lazy to start my hand on writing. I have to somehow finish my 8 essays by November for my own good.

Talking about the fact that November is coming, commendation day is coming soon. Will it be a good one? I hope so. The year 2s just graduated from Junior College! Now, they're heading towards the real GCE A Level Exams. How time flies. Not too long ago I remembered how reluctant I was for the time to come where my peers will graduate. The feeling was overwhelming. After all, I'm held back for 10-11 months more than them.

Title : When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.

02 April 2009

If I could turnback time to a time period of my life,
let it be the year 2008.
Those days where all my good friends were still around, close to me.
Looking back and comparing, I thought 2008 was pretty good.

Many times I wish I could proceed up to year 2 & with friends P ......................... & we could've work hard and graduate together.

But I guess we can't have everything we want in life.
Looking back at last year and the current year,
One shortcoming must be compensated by something great.
One aspect of our life may be flourishing, but another aspect is hell.
Indeed, we can't have everything perfect in life.

Its good to make new friends, but old friends are still gold,
those precious gems!
Sometimes, its just so hard to fit in.
I miss my JC bestie.

I've lost many sources of support, now that people are leaving me, gradually...
I wish I had someone in college who can truly understand me.

Do I seem to be neglecting my blog? Are my posts getting more less-detailed? My photos are secured?

Maybe I feel uncomfortable with the idea of blogging too much.. you will never know who is reading your blog and getting to know more about you just by reading your blog. For all you know, there may be stalkers around who stalk your blog and grab your pictures for their own viewing pleasure...........................?? (!!!) I don't know, something inside me seems to be telling me that some people are trying to dig more information by bloghopping.

maybe, perhaps, possible.....

Title : Old school reunion dinner

15 Oct 2009

My former school recently had its 50th anniversary dinner celebration last Thursday.
The dinner was similar to college dinner, but service was much better.
Alcoholic drinks were served.

It feels good to be back in secondary school, at least for a night.
Time flies, everyone changed.

Picture galore below- A walk down secondary school memory lane
PG rated: Faces have changed over the years..

Last time, in secondary school, we wanted to quickly get pass the O Level Exams so that we will be from studies, stress and get to 'enjoy' in Poly...

Now, almost 2 years after graduating from Secondary School, we look back and think about what we could do better if we were given a second chance, what silly mistakes we made, how different were we 2 years back and 2 years later, how we used to be cheeky and playful & how simple life in sec sch was compared to pre-U/Poly!

We think back and we say, 'how I wish I was in sec sch. its so much more relaxed compared to where I am now.'

So, I don't know what secondary school students are complaining about when they say school life sucks. Don't know what are they ranting about. :P

Perhaps when we have nothing to compare to, we only look at what we have. we think the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

haiz JC life is so hiong.

My sec sch principal said that your Sec Sch will be the one where you have most emotional attachment to. when you reach JC, its only a 2 years course and there won't be much emotional attachment because the pace there is very fast and 2 years will fly by in a blink of an eye. In Poly, you are left to be independent. Once you leave sec sch, you will realise how much you used to miss out on.

I think friendships formed in Secondary School are more cohesive and strong than friendships formed in later life. The click is there. Maybe I haven't experience enough to give a more sound judgement?

Question to ponder:
Do we have to put up with our friends' flaws and focus on their positive traits? I mean, we usually do that. But what if putting up is too much to bear? Won't it be tiring to be putting on acts?

Title : Gone are the days of confessions

Well, its been a year, it doesn't surprise me.
It never fails to surprise me how fast time flies.

Remember how lorn I was then.
One year ago, I thought I had learn how to release.
But apparently, no.
everytime I told myself to start fresh, I just fall back to my old ways.

Now I know its impossible already, I'm no longer stuck in the cycle of thinking how bad things are. I had just let go and I know no matter how much I want it back, its difficult, chances are close to zero. It'll feel awkward if theres a reunion but if I could choose, I don't expect things be as good as they were during the initial period, I just want them to stay the same as they were at some point back a few months ago.

Moving on, yet still thinking of you at times. I wonder whether do I still live in the bottomless pit heart of yours? Does my blog add ever existed in your 'bookmarks'? Did you my blog ever get visited this year? If you do (IF), thanks for trying to see how I am (or should I use the word 'busybody' in a positive way?). I'm doing quite fine now. Whether or not we belong to each other company was something of the past. I was just wondering about the above sentences. That's all I can say.

I hope you are doing good in life. :)

SRGCE Vietnam Trip, Day 4
04 December 2008

Started our descend to 2000m above sea level
Had outdoor lunch
Transder abck to Sapa, then go straight to Ta Van Village
Had dinner there and overnight in the local house of the Giay minority there

someday we'll know, why the sky is blue....

Arghhh my Fansipan cookies are the center of attraction for the pic!

We reached the Village!!!
Sanitation (Bathing and toilet amenities) was not so desirable there because its quite 'run-down'.it came in the form of urinal and shower wooden huts, not the modern way of doing business. plus, theres limited sanitation, only 2 toilets there for dozens of us. Imagine if many of us needed the toilet at the same time. Haha. Had to wait for quite some time to bathe too.

Since we are halfway thru e trip, might as well perservere on. Grudging will only make us suffer more instead of having fun. (:

this is how we sleep. girls bunk on the bottom level, boys had to climb the stairs up as their bunks were above the girls

dining table

we put mosquito nets over our mattresses

so it reduces the chances of mosquitoes biting us!

for some things in life we have to put up with the adversity.
some things in life don't come easy, take for example a mountain climb. If you want to reach the submit, you have to endure and continue climbing..

must learn to adapt quickly and live life w/o restrictions!

the best thing above living there in the minority village was, its so peaceful. You'll feel so carefree there, without worries, life is so simple there. The plus thing is, though we sleep on matresses on the floor, you can sleep soundly there throughout the whole night for 6-7 hours non-stop and the only time you'll wake up is in the morning when you have to get up.

The sleeping conditions are just too comfortable. The temperature's cool! I thought I couldnt fall asleep when I sleep in such place, but I was totally wrong. the outcome was the extreme. :D

Grumpy says: No more books!! They're out!

Exams over!
Regardless of the outcome, shall enjoy for awhile first.
My week is kind of packed.
The remaining days are so irking.

Looking at the time now makes me want to sleep now and sleep in as much as I can. Good night.

Title : halfway to the end of exams,

When it comes to the war, even true friends will kill each other on the battlefield. I guess.

The time period to surrender old ezlink cards was already up already. It was the deadline yesterday. But damn the pp, why do some have to put off till the last minute to exchange their cards or even still not know about the card replacement exercise. In the end, the rush to replace cards cause queues to clog up at ticket kiosks at interchanges and MRT stations. Wanted to buy my concession for unlimited bus rides just now, but, the queue at the MRT's ticketing office was so long, same goes for the interchange. ZZZZZ. my concession is due today. :( zzzzzzzzzzzzz next time dont delay replacing ur cards. See, now they have to extend the deadline for card replacement and it causes so much inconvenience to others who want to use other ticketing services. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Two more papers, I'll be freed for temporary. I'm gonna go on intensive mugging again for the next few days. I can't wait for next Tuesday!

I want this I want that I want so many things but some things are desirable yet unattainable. Lust lust lust to hell with the lusts hahahaha. thrpy, you seems so far from me. :(

I wanted to kill the roach but dare not.

Mmmmmmm food is yum :P. But I shall not spend so much on food. need to get rid of some calories inside me. zZ heheheheeeeeee ok bye!
