Title : Gifts concerns

There are some things you worry about when getting gifts for loved ones and people in general.



-What if they do not like it (applies to both genders actually)?
The Body Shop gift sets are good gifts, but sometimes

-What if they have enough of it? Like having too many body lotions and hand cremes already, yet people still give them.. Having too many tops of the same kind..

-What if they don't use it cos they have no need for it?

-What if people get the wrong idea?

-Will the gift be too exaggerated for them?

Things like The Body Shop gift sets are good gifts, but you worry about whether you will go wrong with it as people may not use TBS's products or they can't tolerate the smell of certain flavours (some dont like christmas editions like cranberry cos of a sour scent but i like it more than ginger or spiced vanilla).

You want to get your girlfriend skincare or cosmetics but then you know she has enough of her own skincare she is loyal to. Cosmetics, but mascara can only last 3 months, so you get other things. Then, you have to worry about the brand and what colour tone/shades to get it in. Even if she doesnt really use makeup, there will be a time when she needs it.

Then you worry about if people will have allergies to beauty items, cos some of my friends claim they have sensitive skin and are advised to use doctors' products. Those friends, i don't get them skincare. Haha.

You wanna get her clothes, you rack your brains on what kind of clothes she lack, whether the outfit will flatter her. Most of us should know about the superstition of giving people shoes, so footwear is a big No-No. We have to get our own footwear. This one must splurge ourselves. Lol~

Girls, when you get something for guy friends, do you wonder even more? Guys will usually say good gifts are bags, T shirts, shirts, wallet, fragrance but then again, you wonder if they will like the item you got them. If they love it, its your gain. If not, *awkward*. Have you girls felt that it is harder to get a gift for males?

beauty items and fragrances and apparels can be quite personal items too. If you know the recipients' measurements and sizing well, then good for you.

Sometimes, if you are cheeky, you may buy lingerie for your friend. Then again, you think its not a good idea so you scrap the thought. Lol. Unless its those cheaper lingerie in bulk that you can distribute to a few people.. I received red lace panties before from cotton on..... LOL.

Then you have to go out and shop around and when you buy, you may wonder if its really the right choice. Lol~

BUT BUT.. all in all,

I believe if you know the person well, most gifts shouldn't go wrong.

Was speaking to my swimming friend and we both agreed that people who do gifts exchange would have reached a certain level of closeness and familiarity to be able to do that with each other. I usually only give gifts to people whom I feel for especially if they know the feeling is mutual and our acts will be reprociated. Every year, I have a usual few people in my list.
